The mission of the Warwick Neck Garden Club is to enhance our understanding and appreciation of the natural beauty of our environment. We promote the protection, preservation and improvement of our neighborhood. Through this mission, we encourage an opportunity to grow in friendship, education and service.
Founded in 1941, the Warwick Neck Garden Club was formed as a nonprofit organization. Our focus is to encourage interest in the environment, to beautify our neighborhood and to foster a love of gardening. Most members have no professional horticultural training but we learn from one another and share different talents. A number of people join as new neighbors in order to get to know one another, and go on to build lifelong friendships in addition to a knowledge of plants. We hold monthly meetings -- these collegial gatherings include speakers, demonstrations, field trips and hands-on workshops. We have partnered with the Warwick Neck Improvement Association as well as the City on improvement projects on the Neck, and we maintain several public spaces. Whether your garden is large or small, inside or outside, a house or a condo, we welcome new members. |
