Civic Beautification and Service Committee
This committee promotes civic beautification and conservation, shares litter clean-up duties and works on environmental projects endorsed by the club. These are the subcommittees:
Program Committee
A small committee plans the monthly meetings with programs and events to support the mission and interests of the members. Typically, the committee organizes varied interactive activities, such as garden tours, field trips and educational programs for our monthly meetings during the year. The committee plans the monthly program and arranges for a meeting space. One or two members usually volunteer as "hostesses" to coordinate light refreshments and help set up and clean up.
Nominating Committee
Chaired by the past president and including two other members develops and presents a slate of officers for election at the Annual Meeting, in accordance with the by-laws.
Harriet Miner Annual Award for Horticultural Excellence Committee
This award began in 1993, and is named in honor of long-time Warwick Neck Garden Club member Hat Miner. This annual competition encourages members to learn and develop their gardening skills, showcasing horticultural achievements. The project selected as "Best in Show" holds the Horticultural Project watercolor in their home for one year. See Committee Guidelines.
Appointed Committees
Ad Hoc Committees are appointed by the president and include the planning activities of the annual holiday party, bi-annual plant sales, auctions, Sunshine Committee, social media and others.
